Glynis Butler-Stone is the CEO of the Children's Receiving Home of Sacramento. She has worked in the realm of social work for over 30+ years.
Ms. Butler-Stone originally went to school to become a journalist, then moved her way into counseling. Somehow, someway, she found herself working within the foster care system supporting foster families. She developed a passion for providing trauma informed care to children and eventually began providing support for children in congregate care.
Ms. Butler-Stone provides a real world view of the foster care system. She speaks on the issues facing children within the system, the emotional toll the system can have on its workers, advocating for at risk youth, her successes, her failures, and how you can get involved with their work.

Johnny Jeter and Mike Mondo are former WWE Tag Team champions and current head trainers at wrestling schools.
"Johnny" and "Mikey" joined alongside "Kenny" (Ken Doane) , "Nicky" (later known as Dolph Ziggler) and "Mitch" comprised a team of male cheerleaders known as "The Spirit Squad." The team debuted in 2006 and rose to immediate stardom. They also had the opportunity to feud with some of the biggest names in wrestling history including HHH, Shawn Michaels, Roddy Piper, Ric Flair, Kane, the Big Show and more.
Now, both have become head trainers of pro wrestling schools. Jeter runs the Manticore Wrestling Academy in Cameron Park, California. Mondo runs the New York Wrestling Connection on Long Island. Jeter and Mondo talk with Josh about training in Ohio Valley Wrestling with Danny Davis, Dr. Tom Pritchard and Nick Dinsmore. They also discuss traveling with the WWE, the importance of hard work, seizing opportunities that come your way and what its like to training the next generation of pro wrestlers.
Jeter also discusses his pro wrestling promotion's debut show on October 22 at Movement Brewery in Rancho Cordova. Mondo is set to return to officially wrestling starting in February 2023.

Albert Ochoa is a social media influencer turned Celebrity Boxer. He rose to prominence after Kylie Jenner slid into his DMs and later attended his junior prom. The date was filmed for a reality tv show, and Albert’s life changed forever. He went from a mild mannered kid who ate lunch by himself and never had a girlfriend to a superstar overnight.
Now he has transitioned his fame from social media to the boxing ring. After a successful boxing debut under the tutelage of three time world champion Tony “the Tiger” Lopez, Albert is currently training with four time champion Joel Casamayor for his second fight. The fight is scheduled to take place Saturday October 15 in Atlantic City.
Albert talks about his rise in the social media world, Kylie Jenner, some feelings toward his former trainer, his goals, and the attitude/mindset that has helped in be successful in realizing his goals. He is an example of how anything is possible, and when you get a stroke of good fortune, you must work hard to capitalize.

Tony "The Tiger" Lopez is a former three time World Boxing Champion. His record of 50 wins with 34 (or 36 depending on who you're talking to) is quite stunning. He was also named Ring Magazine's "Fight of the Year" in 1988 for his fight with Rocky Lockridge and "Comeback of the Year" in 1990 for regaining his championship from John John Molina.
Tony "the Tiger" joins Josh to discuss his story. How his love for boxing came from his father and older brother, trouble he had with fighting as a youth, channeling that trouble into boxing and how his winning attitude drove his success. He speaks about his motivation, his defeats, boxers vs fighter, his fearlessness when facing Julio Caesar Chavez, his experiences with legendary promoter Don King and his tough talk relating to fighters today, including Heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury.
Tony is another shining example of how a refusal to quit and focus on winning vs money can propel you to success. His message, don't quit and always believe you can win.

Motivation speaker Mike Gregson comes on the Edlow Podcast to discuss his story. After a childhood of unfulfilled dreams and struggles in school, Depression and shame caused him to make bad decisions. Mike’s life changed when he found God.
Through living a faith based life, he began to realize that service to others provides peace and happiness. His desire to serve leads to a decision to serve a 2 year full time volunteer mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Although Mike’s mission was an incredible experience for him, he began to “lose footing.” After going through a divorce, he began drinking and using drugs again, which lead to full blown addiction.
On the edge, contemplating suicide, Mike shares the experience of once again turning back to God and which gave him the courage to, rise up, face the life he had created and change for the second time. Through this story, Mike and Josh discuss success, failure, helping kids through troubled times, Identity, depression, faith and views on where true happiness is derived.

Josh welcomes Sahar Razavi, Ph. D and Professor Andrew Hertzoff from California State University Sacramento to discuss the Iranian Protests sparked by the recent death of Mahsa Amini.
Amini, an Iranian Kurdish woman died after being detained by Iranian forces known as the “morality police.” Eye witness accounts suggest that she was brutally beaten while in custody. Her alleged crime? “Improper Hijab.”
Dr. Razavi and Professor Hertzoff join the Edlow podcast to discuss the allegations themselves, the history of human rights violations in Iran (particularly against women), issues stemming from the 1979 Iranian Revolution, the danger in Iran’s shutting down the internet, similarities to allegations of police brutality in America and how these protests differ from past protests.
Dr Razavi is the director of the Iranian and Middle Eastern studies at CSU Sacramento. Professor Hertzoff specializes in political theory, history of political thought, and religion and politics.

Alexis Darevko is an independent professional wrestler based in the Sacramento area. Over the course of his 20+ year career, Darevko has traveled the country wrestling and promoting wrestling events for crowds of all shapes and sizes. He has held multiple championships for multiple pro wrestling companies and is the current East Bay Pro Wrestling champion. He also promotes shows in the Sacramento area through his own promotion Action Coast Wrestling.

Jared Joyner is a 6 ft 8 former competitive basketball player who has developed a flourishing clientele as a hairdresser. Over his career he has developed a passion for the artistic expression he finds through his work. He is also an avid record collector with an eclectic music pallet.
Josh welcomes him to the podcast to discuss his passions, the unknown market for buying and selling records online in 2022, his late discovery of mental health issues and the advantages/disadvantages of being a 6 ft 8, straight, white male in a largely female dominated field. He also discusses the preconceived notions people have when meeting him, and his difficulties in maintaining fulfilling friendships that sometimes appear to come as a result of those misconceptions. Jared’s story is one that shows, not everyone fits into a box, and not only is that okay, it’s preferable.
